Raghunath Manna

Raghunath Manna was born and brought up in South 24 Parganas, West Bengal. He completed his schooling from Madarat Popular Academy, Baruipur, college from Department of Anthropology, Bangabasi College, and masters in Anthropology (with specialization in Social Cultural Anthropology) from Calcutta University. He also completed a diploma in Social Work and Community Service from the National Council of Education, Bengal.

With more than 17 years of experience in development sector, Raghunath’s expertise lies in training, capacity building and program management. He has worked with BIKASH Society, Sabuj Sangha, Durbar Mahila Samanwaya Committee, CARE, Public Health Foundation of India, Strategic Alliance Management Services, Uniter Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission, Tata Institute of Social Science (TISS), and YR Gaitonde Medical – Educational & Research Foundation.

Raghunath’s professional experience is deeply rooted in the areas of health and nutrition, women empowerment, STD/HIV/AIDS/Tuberculosis, Immunization, Institution building, Social Inclusion and Social Development focusing on training, capacity building and coaching, developing SoPs, modules, Operational Guidelines, including liasoning and advocacy, technical assistance to government, monitoring, mentoring & documentation.

In his leisure time, Raghunath enjoys cooking, travelling to new places, and interacting with people of different cultures.
